Terms of service

These are the ground rules for minylist.com. Reading the site is free and needs no account, so most of this page covers the moments you do business with us: submitting a tool, adding a badge or buying a slot.

The short version

By using minylist you agree to these terms. Read anything, share links, quote us with credit. Our reviews are honest opinions, not guarantees, so check prices and plans on the vendor's site before you pay. Nobody can buy a rating or a ranking, and that includes sponsors and makers who pay for Fast-track.

Using the site

minylist is a static website. There are no accounts, so there's nothing to sign up for and nothing for us to suspend. You can read every review, role page, comparison and alternatives page for free. What we collect while you do is covered in the privacy policy.

Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl the public pages; we publishllms.txt for that reason. Keep automated traffic polite enough that it doesn't slow the site down for people.

Reviews are opinions

A rating out of five, a verdict and a list of cons are our judgment, based on the vendor's own documentation, hands-on tests on free plans where we can, and what users say in public. They're written to help you choose, not as professional, legal, financial or security advice for your situation.

SaaS pricing moves fast. We date our pages and update them when we spot a change, but a plan, price or limit can change on the vendor's side the day after we check it. The vendor's checkout page is the one that counts. If you find something out of date, email us and we'll fix it.

Tools and links we don't run

Every tool on minylist belongs to someone else. When you click through and sign up, your agreement is with that company, under its terms and its privacy policy. We aren't a party to it, we don't handle your payment, and we can't refund, support or cancel a subscription you bought from a vendor.

Some outbound links are affiliate links that may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. Theaffiliate disclosure explains which links they are and why they don't touch ratings.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, you'll get the weekly review email. Each issue may carry one labeled sponsor. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it stops the mail. Don't sign up an address that isn't yours.

Submitting a tool

Anyone can submit a tool. By sending a submission you confirm you're allowed to speak for the product, and that what you tell us about it is accurate. You let us use the product's name, logo, favicon, screenshots and public copy on minylist to describe and review it.

A free listing goes through the normal review queue. Fast-track costs $29, paid on our invoice before we start; it buys a review live within 72 hours of payment, not a listing or a score. If we decide the tool isn't a fit, we tell you why and refund the full amount.

Either way, we decide whether a tool is listed, what the review says and what rating it gets. You can send corrections to facts, like a new price or a feature that shipped, once the review is live. You can't approve the review in advance or have a con removed because you disagree with it. We may update, re-rate or remove a listing at any time, for example if the product changes, shuts down or misleads users.

Featured badges

A free listing asks you to put the "Featured on minylist" badge on your site, as a normal followed link back to minylist. We check the page you give us before the review goes live, and we re-check badge pages from time to time. If the badge is taken down, changed to a nofollow link or hidden from search engines, we may remove the free listing.

You can embed the badge files we give you as they are. Please don't edit the artwork or use it on a product we haven't listed.

Sponsored slots

Sponsors buy labeled ad space: the homepage featured row, the review-page sidebar, the side rails or a mention in the newsletter, by the week or the month. Placement, dates and price are agreed by email and confirmed by our invoice; current rates are on the advertise page. Every sponsored slot carries a visible "Sponsored" label.

You're responsible for the name, logo, tagline and link you send us, and for having the right to use them. We can turn down or pull an ad that's misleading, unlawful or links somewhere unsafe. A sponsorship never changes a rating, a ranking, a comparison or a review.

Our content, your quotes

The reviews, guides, ratings, design and code of minylist are ours. You're welcome to quote a reasonable excerpt or a rating with a link back to the page it came from. Please don't republish whole reviews, copy the catalog into another directory, or present our ratings as your own.

Product names, logos, favicons and screenshots belong to their owners. We show them to identify and review the products, which doesn't mean those companies endorse us. If you own something on minylist and want it changed, email us.

What you can't do

Don't try to break into, overload or disrupt the site or the services it runs on. Don't send us submissions, ads or corrections that are false, infringe someone else's rights or impersonate another company. Don't use minylist's name or badge to suggest we endorse a product we haven't reviewed.

No warranties, limited liability

minylist is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or error-free, or that the site is always available.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from relying on a review, buying or using a third-party tool, or the site being unavailable. If we are found liable for something, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. For most readers, that's nothing, because reading minylist is free. Nothing here limits rights that the law in your country doesn't let a business take away.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it. Using the site after that means you accept the new version; a booked sponsorship or a paid Fast-track keeps the terms in place when you paid. Questions, corrections or takedown requests go to[email protected].
